Tudor times are brought alive through a mixture of activities, artefacts and fun.
The day starts with a short talk start on why and how the Tudors came to power, the effects of religious turmoil and how the discovery of the New World changed Europe, putting the Tudors in the wider context of European politics and religious history.
The rest of the morning is taken up with 3 activities lasting approx. 20-25 mins each.
TUDOR QUIZ – Eight boards set up in a classroom covered in information.
CHILDRENS GAMES – How many games can the children spot in Brueghel’s Children’s Games.
MERRELLS – The children play a very popular 16th century game.
TUDOR CLOTHES and Social Status in the 16th century with Lauren.
The morning will finish with everybody learning a simple Tudor Round Song.
The afternoon starts with Tudor medicine. This is followed by the Jousting game and a Tudor dance to finish the day.
